I’m also getting this error, when I go to the second page of my index, and on the edit screen in the admin menu (in that case it occurs right before the preview box). Any ideas? I’m using the latest nightly and am using mod_rewrite as well.

From what I look, if you use permalink (and rewrite), there are few place in wp source where it still use the old link name (index.php?….) and that doesn’t mix very well (cat=all, preview box …).
Actually, I am still in the old system until that clear up.

I get that in a few places as well with the Feb 20 overnight… Search does it, as does the advanced editing page…

I’m getting tons of those errors as well in the March 1 nightly, both when I click on a catagory on my index page as well as when trying to use the advanced editing page. I stoped using mod_rewrite and all is well. Is this a problem with the WP scripts, or is this because of something I did wrong, and if it’s a script problem, is there a way around it?

I’m getting the same problem with mod_rewrite. Any fix yet?
    Thanks

Sounds like PATH_INFO is being set for some mysterious reason, which eventually leads us to processing a REQUEST_URI that contains characters that are special to regular expressions. This causes the regular expression compilation errors ya’ll are seeing. Usually, a REQUEST_URI with PATH_INFO isn’t going to have any special characters, thus it’s not a problem most people will see. Anyway, it’s now fixed in CVS. Diffs will be available here once anonymous CVS updates.
