After enabling indexables, I saw a huge increase in storage space used. Turned out that error_log file was full of text like this:

    [ Deleted ]

Tried on several different WordPress websites – always the same result.

@bikegremlin Please do not post large code or responses like that here, it doesn’t work after ~10 lines or so.

If you need share that data please use https://gist.github.com/ instead and post the link to that gist.

Apologies. I did cut it to just about 30 or so lines – to show the type of errors shown.

I’ve installed all the updates (patches) published in the last few days, but the problem keeps re-occuring, on more than one website.

The problem seems to occur only on websites that have traffic. Test websites that have almost no traffic don’t get this problem.

No reply, but I have reverted to the backups from before the update. So, since I’m not going to do any more testing, marking this as resolved.

Huge change with this update apparently, so, as can be expected, needs polishing. Will let the others do the beta testing, then decide whether to stick with Yoast, or switch to another SEO plugin (been with Yoast since I started using WordPress in 2015, but never had any problems before).

Best of luck to everyone involved, hope it all gets sorted out.
