    Hello,

suddenly I noticed that the homepage of our website is no longer reachable. For https://www.boskapel.nl/ FF or IE7 try to download a file with MIME type application/x-trash. The file is a normal WP generated HTML file (without extension), but shows a “work in progress” or “under construction” text. Direct links deeper in the site are OK, like https://www.boskapel.nl/rubriek/nieuws/

    What is up?

    Regards,

    Karel

calling up /index.php explicitly has the same result.

I looked at it with IE6 (yes, I still have it) and got an error just under your headline “unable to read ini file”. The same in FF. I’m guessing that you are running a plugin on the home page, possibly just before the loop that is missing a .ini file, and it is throwing this error. If you can locate that script and scan the code for this error message, you might be able to get the file name for the .ini it is missing.

Wonderful! That was more or less the problem. For some reason all files in the directory with the .ini-file had permission 600. :$

Changing the file permissions to 644 (and clearing the browser cache) did the trick.

    Much appreciated.

    Karel
