Index page

  • Hello everyone,

    I have completed installing my WP.org successfully hwowever, my site still says that I need to replace the default page with my ow index page… What the heck does that mean?

    Help please!

  • Because index.html on your server still has priority and shows up instead of WordPress’ index.php.

    www.yoursite.com landing page order
1 index.html (standard webhost text)
2. index.php (WordPress home)

    You can solve this by renaming index.html to something else or by adjusting your .htaccess to redirect to index.php
