Index only individual posts by search engines

  • Hi,

    I have a photoblog that contains individual postings of shootings of single people. So person X has a post X and person Y has a post Y. The site is indexed by google image. I want google to index individual postings only since google now returns images of both X and Y if one searches for X, since X and Y are on the main blog page.

    Is it possible to tell google to not index the main page, but individual postings only?

    OK. I found out that the WordPress SEO plugin can do this, but there is a follow up question. The individual posts have “recent posts” in the sidebar and these recent posts are the names of persons A, B, and C. Again this would result the post of X to be found in a search for A, B, and C, right?
