Index goes to a page !! please help

Fixed.

A plugin created a table that was redirecting it, no idea why, but its fixed after deleting the table with the problem.

Which plugin was creating the problem, if you don’t mind me asking? I think I’m having the same problem you were having.

I had the same problem and still haven’t cleaned this up. Now I will look for a table gone nuts. The Redirection plugin was working fine in an updated 3.03 install. I then went on a “which SEO plugin might be better” tour and when trying to use “Simple Tags”, I got a bunch of errors. I didn’t think there were any lingering issues until I took a visual of the site and it was loading the last blog post as my home page. All other blog posts were out there somewhere. Nothing could get my home page changed including changing the settings in Settings-Reading to reflect static pages. I just got the 404 error. I deactivated the Redirection plugin (and Simple Tags) and my site is back up.
So far I cannot get the Redirection plugin to be friendly again as enabling it causes a home page redirect that displays just the last blog.

I’m having the same problem. It all started when I upgraded Akismet today. Not sure why that caused a problem, but now when I turn this plugin on, I’m redirected to a postwhen i go to our main blog page — a test post that I created and then deleted earlier today.

Polle – What table did you find? What did you remove? ANy help from anyone would be most appreciated.
