Index custom fields setting is not being searched/indexed

Yes that is correct, I have re-indexed after updating the setting and it still is not recognizing them. I’ve seen that thread and have tried to incorporate those suggestions as well with no luck. I have tried to turn off all other plugins besides ACF and Solr for WordPress to see if there’s something conflicting, but no change there. Otherwise the plugin is working great just need it to index these custom fields which contains 90% of the content.

@nicolegalek Could you spin up a multidev environment so I can debug what the issue might be? You can invite the email address on my GitHub account.

I thought this issue looked familiar and, after debugging a little bit, I think you’re running into this issue: https://github.com/pantheon-systems/solr-power/issues/359

The underlying problem is that the custom fields values aren’t being included in the search query, even though they’re being indexed.

Because you aren’t using the post_content field for that particular page template, an easier solve (than the code snippet mentioned on the issue) might be to also store the custom field values in the post_content field. I’ve added the code snippet to the test-solr multidev environment and it seems to be working as expected.

@danielbachhuber Thank you so much for all your help! That makes so much more sense. I didn’t realize that it wouldn’t automatically include posts using those fields. I’ll take a look at the other resolution as well. Thank you!
