Hello, I am having trouble with my alignment. My header and my footer seem to be aligning left correctly but when I align my index – left…it’s all screwed up. I’ve scoured through the code and can’t find what’s causing it not to align left like the header and the footer but I can’t seem to find where the problem tag is. If you go to my page: https://www.salonfurniture.com/store/weblog/index.php you’ll see EXACTLY what I mean. Please help!! Thanks so much!

It looks fine in FF 1.5.
    It’s seriously whacked in IE.

You can see what’s causing it here.

Ohmygod! I don’t even know where to start in fixing these errors!! Are these errors what is causing the page to be not aligning left? I thought it was something I was overlooking in the css? I definitly plan on fixing as many of these XHTML errors that I can but do you think it’s just a tag in my style sheet that is causing the page to do this?

Let’s just say I didn’t fix any of the XHTML Transitional Errors. What would happen to my page? Thanks so much for your help. In case you haven’t noticed…I’m very new at php and xhtml so try to bare with me!!

I think I got all of the tables in the header, the footer and the index php pages to align left…whew…(pat on the back for me). Don’t ask me how to do it because if I had to do it again I wouldn’t really know! But I know I took out the </tr></td></table> of the header.php and I put it in the footer.php so somehow, the whole page is nestled in one table. I still have to browser test it and make sure all of the other pages are okay, but at least I’m one step closer to finally having this thing done! woo hoo!

I didn’t finish fixing all of the XHTML Transitional Errors (because there’s like 100 of them!!!). Will that have any effect on my page?
