Increment Shipping rate for specific product

Newbie question,
How can I increment shipping rate for specific product?
The default shipping rate for this product is $8 for 1 -8 quantity, once it hit 9-16 it will be $16, once it goes 17-24 it will be $24 and so for.
I tried using the shipping class Rate, but not sure if this have increment function
8 + ( 2 * [qty] ).

Is there a way to it or plugin to solve the increment? Thank you
