    At first I was very enthusiastic about the range of functions and diligently made backups.

    Then came the day of testing. I had to restore my site and unfortunately Wpvivid failed – because the character set of the target database was not 100% the same as that of the backup. So parts of my Website are not restored an characters (umlauts) are missing.

    EDIT:

    For those who do not have different character sets in the database (source and target), the plugin certainly works fine. In my particular case, it unfortunately led to the problems described above.

    I assumed that the problem was solved after my report, but didn’t try it again after plugin updates. I should have done that.
