Increasing the Number of Posts on Grid Home Page

    I would like to know how to change the number of ‘squares’/posts on the home page. The 3-column grid is only displaying 7 instead of 9 posts. I’ve tried changing it in Settings>Reading>Front Page Displays>Blog pages show at most… etc., but nothing seems to change.
