Increasing Media Upload Size

    I was happily posing blogs and sometime audios of about 30 to 40 mg each once or twice a week since September with my first Blog. Now I am restricted to only 2 mg and I cannot figure out how to increase the media size. I deleted a couple of older audios but the message is still restricting me to 2 mg. Is this something to do with the new WordPress 4.4 version just added?

  • Hi,

    Perhaps speak to your web host, it could be a limit they have created.

    Alternatively you could always host your very large files externally.

    Thanks but seems strange happened after 4.4 came out. Not sure if I am talented enough to understand how to externally link files but will try to figure out.

    As a follow up to why restricted to 2 mg, apparently the new 4.4 version of WP affected the PHP version so had to change to PHP version 5.4.
    Now I have 50 mg file maximum size which is workable. Issue closed.
