Hi, it’s so odd but I noticed that when I enable LiteSpeed Cache there is an increase in requests for Fonts.

Prior to installing this plugin I had about 15 Font Requests with total of 305 Kbs (according to PageSpeeds and Pingdom).

Activating LSC it went up to 36 Font Requests and 1MB
    Pingdom: Font 57.20% 1.0 MB Requests 43!

As if all fonts.gstatic.com fonts duplicate, I see a bunch of them.

I went ahead and disabled almost everything from LSC, leaving Cache On and Page Optimization only:

    – Font Display Optimization : Swap
    – Load Google Fonts Asynchronously: On

    Results: 35 requests 711.7 KiBs

Disabling LSC completely and using a different plugin I get my Font Request down to 11, that’s pretty huge in terms of requests and giving me better scores and speed. But deactivating LSC defeats the purpose as I am under a OpenLiteSpeed Server and I want to continue using LSC only.

    What could be the problem?

    I ran another test.

Without LSC only 12 Font Requests: https://prnt.sc/v82fn5

With LSC 43 Font Requests: https://prnt.sc/v82fai

    Hi,

Could you please try reset to default setting , and see if it shows that way as well ?

I tested on my site with GGfont async , also font swap , but didn’t show such behavior

My theme comes with 12 Google fonts requests.

The only way to sort the requests was to completely remove Google Fonts via Lightspeed Cache option. Fonts requests went down to 5, from 43. Not sure where or how LSC is creating such a high amount of requests.
