    Hi there

    WP: 6.0
    Divi Builder: 4.17.4
    TranslatePress Standard: 2.2.7
    (Caching plugin) SiteGroundOptimizer: 7.1.1
    Website being tunneled through Cloudflare

Translate Press > Advanced Settings – options currently active
    Fix missing dynamic content
    Disable dynamic translation
    Fix spaces between HTML attributes

Filter Gettext wrapping from post content and title – when active slows down the navigation.
The option has been activated due to the wrapping GetText being displayed around dynamic strings, such has in the title of posts in the blog page.

    Can you help?

    Thanks in advance,
    Antonio

    Hi,

Could you check if you have duplicate entries in your database? You can use the Remove duplicate rows option from TP Settings –> Advanced tab to clear them.
Also, we have a listener for Javascript strings that when it detects a text change on the page (say a particular JS script adds a notice), we query the server for a translation. This ajax call is also fast as it doesn’t go through the normal WordPress ajax, however, it can cause issues when there is a lot of traffic to your website.
The good part is that you can disable this functionality from TPSettings -> Advanced tab -> Disable dynamic translation.

    Hi Alex,

    Thanks for your reply.

Cleaning the database did the trick. Also, I tuned CloudFlare and the Siteground Optimizer plugin so, now the pages are loading fast.

Disable dynamic translation option is ticked.

Now, other issue has arise. In the posts titles, in a blog page, when user goes to:
    – blog page > goes to an article/post
    – goes back to blog page > changes language
    – goes to an article/post
    – goes back to blog page

    Where’s the title, displays this: #!trpst#trp-gettext data-trpgettextoriginal=533#!trpen#Shares#!trpst#/trp-gettext#!trpen#

This can be visible right now, at this link: https://www.charilaoubros.com/en/4vita/ together with the missing English translation.

    Any ideas?

    Thx!

    Hi,

I just checked. There are no broken strings.
However, we don’t have a proper solution when it comes to these broken strings. Those can occur from many causes. Due to the way TP works and the variety of plugins that exist on the market at the moment, such bugs are very difficult to control.
Try adding the strings (in the original form — not in the broken) in the Exclude Gettext String option from TP Settings –> Advanced tab. Leave the domain textbox empty. This should get rid of the #trpst wrappings.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

I did as you suggested, for one of the strings. The other, I just didn’t apply any translation so it was left in plain English. And it worked. Not a perfect solution but acceptable. And for the next time, I know better. ??

    Thank you and take care,
    Antonio
