increased margins drops sidebar…

I’m using the new flickr photo plugin and having a little trouble. I use the kubrick template w/ my blog and the sidebar needs to be moved to the right a few extra pixels because when you view the gallery or a single pic view page, the sidebar overlaps the pictures.

My problem: when I edit my .css to increase the sidebar margin to a larger number (thus moving is slightly farther to the right) but still within the ‘white’ part of the page, IE decides to throw the side bar down to the bottom of the page instead of keeping it beside the photo content. Any ideas/suggestions/comments?
