Increase size of post/content area

  • Hi:

    How do I increase the size of my post/content area? I’ve looked at the previous posts on these forums but nothing seems to work for me, including the CSS codes provided by some.

    I just want to use more of the screen and see other blogs with a wider post area.

    Also, I hate the default search box I have, but don’t know how to change it. I am using free version of Themify and so I can’t get support from them unless I pay. I want to change it so it is a square box without the image of the magnifying glass.

    I cannot use their support because they make you pay. I am using the free version. The size of my content are isn’t really a theme issue. Regardless of what theme I use, I may need to adjust it.

    Hi Themifyme. Can you please tell me how I can reset the negative margin as you suggest I do before increasing the container width?

    I don’t know how to do this.
