    Hi,

    I am at a loss as to what to do. My host recommends Litespeed cache but I can only get the speed to reach 12 for mobile (Google Page speed insights) using Litespeed Cache.

    It is currently using Autoptimise and I can get it to 24 for mobile.

    I really need to get it to at least average – about 50 (on mobile), I was hoping that Litespeed would be the answer.

    Do you think there are settings that I can change to get this to an average score?

    Can you recommend an expert that could do this?

    Thanks
    Paula

    Done, try now

    NO! Still the same. Let’s do that later…

    Next Steps
    Go to: /wp-admin/admin.php?page=litespeed-page_optm

    CSS Settings
    ****************
    CSS Minify -> ON
    CSS Combine -> ON
    CSS Combine External and Inline -> OFF
    CSS HTTP/2 Push -> ON
    Load CSS Asynchronously -> OFF
    Generate Critical CSS -> OFF
    Generate Critical CSS In Background -> ON
    Separate CCSS Cache Post Types -> blank
    Separate CCSS Cache URIs -> blank
    Inline CSS Async Lib -> ON
    Font Display Optimization -> “Swap”

    Purge Entire Cache!!!!

    All complete. Check now.
    Thanks

    Okay, most of optimize settings are done. A few smaller settings are still to be done, but can be done later. Your WP installation contains some plugins for Facebook, GTMetrix and Google. These plugins generate external requests and slows down page load and blocks page rendering. This can’t be optimized and it’s up to you. Keep this plugins installed and you will get bad Pagespeed score. Remove these plugins and you will get a much faster page load and also a much better Pagespeed score. If you remove these plugins it is worth it to go on making more optimizations. Otherwise it doesn’t make sense….

    Thank you for your hard work! ??

    If I do this:
    Lite speed cache – optimization – Remove Google Fonts
    Avada Builder Elements – Social Links – off
    Avada Builder Elements – Social Sharing – off
    Avada Builder Elements – Lightbox
    Avada Builder Options – Sticky Preview / Publish Buttons Off
    Plugin – Google Language Translator – deactivated
    Plugin – Social Slider Widget – deactivated

    Cleared the cache and retested
    The google page speed score is now 48 (mobile) for this page and 72 Desktop ?? ??

    I will need to keep youtube, Recaptcha and Google Analytics, but it shows how the other items are slowing it all down.

    If I enable these 3 things
    Avada Builder Elements – Social Links – on
    Avada Builder Elements – Social Sharing – on
    Plugin Google Language Translator active the speed is reduced to 15%!!!! But it does seem to vary a little if I test a few minutes later??

    If I Deactivate the Google Language Translator the speed is 26%

    Now I cannot seem to get it back to 45%? It seems to jump around a lot.

    Now I cannot seem to get it back to 45%? It seems to jump around a lot.

    It depends on how good the external hosts are connected. That means if one of these external host has a temporary high load, this will have effect on your page and that’s why the score jumps around. This will also be effected if a user has an ad blocker installed or has activated privacy protection function in his browser. This is the worst case (for you), because it causes a very long delay up to 2 minutes.

    Again, it is up to you. You yourself are able to control the speed of your page. If you decide to remove all critical plugins we can continue optimizing up to score 100! (Almost…) ??

    Thanks, I will take a few days to consider what to do and if I want to keep optimizing I will get back to you.
    Thank you so much for your time and patience!
