Incorrectly report protocol relative urls as broken

An href link in a post content such as:
//www.domain.ext/
is reported as:
404 Not Found with:
http:://www.domain.ext//www.domain.ext/
as the URL.
(Note: I use double colon here just so the forum doesn’t make that a link)I suppose support for protocol relative urls is not yet added.
