    Hi.

    Widget Display – incorrect displays

    My setting:
Number of related posts to show: 5
Format: Link, Post or Excerpts (either one is selected – same result)
Image Size: small (correct thumb key)

Shows 5 posts BUT NO thumbnail.

If I select – Format: Post Thumbnails, -same thumb – then shows thumbnail BUT Only 1 post – not 5

How can I set / adjust to show Thumbnails with Link, Post or Excerpts? and Show with Posts with Format: Post Thumbnails – 5 posts not just 1

    Thanks for you help,
    Fred

    Hi Fred,

It’s four different formats. The only format that will display post thumbnails is “Post Thumbnails”.

The “Post Thumbnails” format will only display related posts that have a post thumbnail. Are you sure all other posts that you expected to be related have a post thumbnail?

If you need another format to display a post thumbnail you can create your own template for that.

    Hi,
    Yes, all post have thumbnails.

    I’ve multilevel taxonomy.

When I use Format: Post Thumbnails (either widget or shortcode in page), and set to 5 per page, ….it’s always show only 1 post.. and it’s always the same one post. (same in widget and on page)

in that taxonomy have 12 post – all have thumbnails – but only shows 1 post. (always that same post)

If I go to another child taxonomy have 9 posts all have thumbs….. it shows ONLY that same 1 post with thumb….BUT that post is not in this child taxonomy….

    Any idea?
    Thanks
    Fred

Do all posts have at least one term in common?

    Thanks for your reply,
Yes all have common term and all have images.
    I’ve a 3 level custom taxonomy
    parent -> sub -> sub-sub

example: Cars -> California -> Los Angeles

    So
if I’m in Cars – show posts from Cars
if I’m in California – show posts Only from California
if I’m in Los Angeles – show posts Only from Los Angeles

so this is what I hope to do.
    Thanks
    Fred
