Apologies for late response to previous ticket, Covid intervened.

    1) Issue unresolved: “I use the free Yoast SEO plugin and the Yoast Video plugin on my single domain multisite on a VPS. Although the site is using the latest WordPress version I am still getting notifications that it is not up to date. This is not a cache issue and should have been fixed long ago.”

Your response: “Is that coming from Yoast SEO? If so, can you please try deactivating and reactivating the plugin and see if it goes away?”

Answer: Yes, and deactivating/reactivating the Yoast plugin made no difference.

    2) Issue seems resolved: “I am also getting notification that: “You are not receiving updates or support! Fix this problem by adding this site and enabling Video SEO for it in My Yoast.” on the sites under the single domain that exist in my various sub-folders, e.g. https://www.travelsignposts.com/Germany. The sitemap for an individual site is shown when I check on the plugin settings for each site. It appears that the plugin is sending an individual video site map to google, but I would like to be sure about this. Of course, the video plugin exists only once on the network.”

Your response: “I’ve refreshed your subscription on our end. Can you please check again? You may need to deactivate/reactivate the Video SEO plugin as well. If it’s still the same, please email us at [email protected] so we can help you further in activating your Video SEO subscription.”

Answer: after deactivating/reactivating the video plugin the message vanished on all blogs.

So, can you help with issue (1) please?

    Thanks, Tony Page

  • Hi @zamba,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Happy to hear that issue 2 is resolved. If you need any issues regarding any premium functionality of the Video SEO plugin or your subscription, feel free to contact us directly.

Let’s get back to issue #1 where you still experience a notification that is being incorrect, as you are already on 5.5.1.

We tried to replicate the issue on a newly created multisite local environment but the notification doesn’t show for us. This lets us believe this must be something on your specific set-up. Can you please confirm you’ve run the Upgrade Network functionality on the network level? If you already did, we don’t have much more we can immediately think of.

    A) Does the notification show on all subsites?
    B) Does the same notification show for all users on the subsites?
    C) Are you running any kind of caching plugin on the subsites?
    D) Are you running any custom code (or plugin) that hides the WordPress version for security reasons?
