    I love this plugin and it has been a great help for quite a while now. However, I note this has not been updated in the last 11 months, although it still works fine.
    My question is, there are several plugins showing an invalid effective version (including this plugin). However, on the WordPress repository and on the “View Details” links different information shows. If I go to the serverside and adjust the read me file to show the correct tested version it will adjust on the plugin page.
    Does this plugin read from a different file than the WordPress repository? If so, can you redirect so the correct info shows?
    Thaks.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @jahrat,
    can you tell me which version it does not read correctly, i.e., which version does the plugin show and which one do you expect it to show? If multiple plugins are showing this behavior, maybe there is something wrong with the version WordPress returns.
    Best,
    Alex

    Thanks for responding. Please see below.
    Plugin -> version displayed by plugin -> version on WordPress
    Advanced Sermons -> 5.9 -> 6.0
    Bible Verse of The Day -> 5.6 -> 6.0
    Easy Updates Manager -> 5.8 -> 6.0
    Embed Plus Plugin for YouTube Pro -> 5.5 -> 6.0
    Health Check & Troubleshooting -> 5.8 -> 6.0
    UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore -> 5.9 -> 6.0
    Widget Context -> 5.5.3 – 5.7.6
    WordPress Version Info -> 5.5 -> 6.0
    WP Activity Log -> 5.9.1 -> 6.0
    WP Activity Log for WPForms – > 5.9.2 -> 6.0
    WP Activity Log for Yoast SEO -> 5.9.2 -> 6.0
    WP Google Map Plugin -> 5.9.3 -> 6.0
    Yoast SEO -> 5.9 -> 6.0
    Zeno Report Comments -> 5.9 -> 6.0

    If I go on the server and check the readme file in each plugin they reflect what your plugin says. However, using “View Details” in the Admin plugin list or visiting www.remarpro.com the “tested to” version shows different information.

    You might be misunderstanding what the plugin does: It shows you the currently installed version of WordPress core on your system. It does not read the information from any other plugins.

    OK. I see my error. The plugin that does this is not your “Version Info”. It is another plugin.
    Thanks for catching that.
