I’m having an issue that woocommerce incorrectly calculates the price of a product including tax. On the following product, a price of 134.134999 is stored on every Variation in the backend, which should result in a Price of 145 including Tax (8.1%):
    https://krengershop.ch/produkt/boa-fokus-trekkingschuh-tief-schwarz-blau-36-47/
Woocommerce however calculates the Price as 144.99, which is incorrect. It looks like the price gets trunkated instead of being rounded.

Due to how prices are stored in our ERP system which are fed to the store via API, i need to have my store set to enter prices without VAT but display them including tax, so changing that is not a viable option.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey there, @krengershop! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

I set up a 8,1% tax on my site and added a product for 134.134999, and the final value is showing 145.

    Here are some screenshots:

Can you please share screenshots from your tax settings so we can take a look?
Please also share a screenshot from WooCommerce > Settings > General > Currency options.
I recommend using https://snipboard.io. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

Are you using any plugins that can interfere with the taxes?
    Are all your plugins updated?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

Just to be sure i’ve updated all Plugins and the Error still persists.

    Here’s the Screenshots you’ve requested

The Plugin B2BKing *might* be able to interfere with taxes, although it has more to do with deciding who gets to see the price including or excluding tax so i don’t see it changing the calculation method.

    ?? hi @krengershop

Thank you for reaching back, with further details on this.

Let’s go ahead with looping back to the beginning of this thread, for a moment:

I’m having an issue that woocommerce incorrectly calculates the price of a product including tax.

To clarify, when was this first identified? What conditions were active at the store when it happened? Are they the same until now? Is this the only product where this occurs, or otherwise?

On the following product, a price of 134.134999 is stored on every Variation in the backend, which should result in a Price of 145 including Tax (8.1%)

    +

Due to how prices are stored in our ERP system which are fed to the store via API, i need to have my store set to enter prices without VAT but display them including tax, so changing that is not a viable option.

The full picture is not clear here, still, I’m afraid.

Could you please clarify where are the prices entered? In WooCommerce or in the ERP, and synced to WooCommerce? If the latter, how possible is to change the prices there (ERP), and see how things go?

The Plugin B2BKing *might* be able to interfere with taxes, although it has more to do with deciding who gets to see the price including or excluding tax so i don’t see it changing the calculation method.

Let’s see how this plugin might be interfering after making sure the above-mentioned points are checked first.

I hope this is helpful! We look forward to your response. In the meantime, please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Hi @anastas10s

To clarify, when was this first identified? What conditions were active at the store when it happened? Are they the same until now? Is this the only product where this occurs, or otherwise?

The issue has existed for as long as the store existed in its current form (about 1 year since we switched to wordpress), but it has only become a problem since we recently started testing syncing stocks and prices with our ERP system which makes it impractical to manually adjust the price stored in WooCommerce to make it display correctly.

The issue also happens for other products like:
    https://krengershop.ch/produkt/herock-dagan-hose-38-56/
The stored price is 100.835523 which should result in a price with tax of 109.00(3200…), but gets displayed as 109.01. This is a manually entered price, not one that came via API.

Could you please clarify where are the prices entered? In WooCommerce or in the ERP, and synced to WooCommerce? If the latter, how possible is to change the prices there (ERP), and see how things go?

The intended behaviour is to have prices entered in our ERP and synced to the store via API. It is not yet enabled for most products (it is for the first example provided, the shoe), but i will make any tests using that process because it will work like that in the future.

I can make changes in the ERP and sync them for testing purposes. That’s not an issue as long as i roll back the changes afterwards.

    Hi @krengershop,

I can make changes in the ERP and sync them for testing purposes. That’s not an issue as long as i roll back the changes afterwards.

You can try that and let us know. Alternatively, another test you can do is create a new product entirely by hand and see if the price is calculated correctly that way, too. This will let us know if the problem is the products being handled by your ERP sync or if something else is entirely interfering with the calculations.

    Please, let us know!

I’ve set up a product completely by hand with the 134.134999 price and still get the erroneous calculation

    Hi @krengershop,

Thank you so much for testing. Please share with us the necessary information below for us to investigate the issue further:

    • System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.
    • Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

You could copy and paste your reply here or paste it via https://gist.github.com/ and send the link here.

Once we have more information, we’ll be able to assist you further.

    Thanks!

    Hi again @krengershop,

Good news! After further testing I was able to fully replicate the issue! It turns out that if I un-check this box in WooCommerce → Settings → Tax → Rounding: https://prnt.sc/V3c527ulgw_q I get the same results as you! If I check it again, I get the expected value. Please try checking it and this should help you!

    Cheers!
