Incorrect thumbnail credit

Please make sure, that Media Data (incl. Author) is filled.

Thank you for your prompt answer. Sorry, I typed the author name in the wrong media. Now, it’s working.
But I don’t want to fill this field in all the media. Is it possible for you to make a change where not to display “%author%” when the author field is empty?

This is actually, how this is working – text shouldn’t be rendered if there is no attribute provided.
May I ask you to provide Credit Tracker configuration from the Settings section?

We tested with the same configuration and Credit Tracker 1.1.12, WordPress 4.9, Twenty Seventeen
=> post thumbnail caption rendered correcly:
no author defined at media: empty string used
author defined at media: author was used in the credit

It is very strange because today the problem dispappeared on most of my posts. But on others (perhaps the new ones), I’m getting the same problem.
