Breadcrumbs subcategory is not displaying correctly – all project posts are showing as “Open Recreational Spaces” instead of the subcategory selected (Housing, Commercial Development, Open Recreational Spaces are choices). This seems like a new issue – noticed within the last month
    Supposed to read:
HOME > REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT > HOUSING > Beacon House

    But instead it’s reading:
HOME > REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT > OPEN RECREATIONAL SPACES > Beacon House

Again, all project pages are displaying like this.
Two other pages to show this issue:
    https://www.hacecdc.org/projects/mercy-life-center/
    https://www.hacecdc.org/projects/casa-indiana/

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello Lwernimont,

Thanks for reaching out about your breadcrumbs. However, I am not certain the issue is caused by the Yoast SEO plugin. The breadcrumbs seem to be from the Elementor page builder or your theme. Anyway, to be sure, can you please deactivate the Yoast SEO plugin and see if the issue persists?

    Thank you for responding.

When I deactivated the Yoast SEO plugin, the breadcrumbs were no longer visible.

    Hi @lwernimont

We’re not exactly familiar with your site structure but is ‘Real Estate Development’ a parent category and ‘Open Recreational Spaces’ is a child or sub-category? If it is set up like that, then that’s expected.

You’ll probably have to experiment with which one you’ve set as the primary category as that also affects the breadcrumb pathway – https://yoast.com/help/implement-wordpress-seo-breadcrumbs/#pathway

If you are not the original poster but have a similar issue, please read this post before opening a new request.
