Incorrect spam detected

    Hi Scott,

    I’ve installed the module on our site but am experiencing some issues.

    I ran some tests on a variety of forms, some submitted without issue but others where flagged as automated spam (got the warning page).

    Could you explain how spam submissions are detected please so I can work out whether it’s a bug or perhaps just me filling out forms too quickly or something?

    The forms are all ninja forms, some submitted ok but some didn’t. I typed the field data out and clicked submit, I was then presented with a ‘Automated spam detected…’ page. When i disabled wp-spamshield on misc forms from the settings the problem stops.

    Please dont post multiple threads for the same issue. I would highly recommend not posting your log data here on the WordPress forums.

    As I mentioned on your other thread, in order for us to help you, we’ll need you to head over to the WP-SpamShield Support Form, and we’ll be able to help you diagnose the issue on your site.

    I clicked on support from the wordpress plugin tab and submitted there. Please provide the correct link if this is wrong?

    is it possible to delete threads from here? If so can you remove the log file post please?

    I just wanted to post a follow up for anyone else reading this.

    After getting in touch with us through the support form, we figured out the issue.

    It was related to the user testing in a private browsing mode window that was disabling the normal use of cookies and JavaScript. JavaScript and cookies are required for the plugin to work.

    After disabling these and using a normal browsing window, everything is working just as it should.
