Incorrect Server Time caused White/Blank Page/Post Screens on NEW 6.0.1 installs
-
Hi, for some reason WordPress 6.0.1 loads a blank page when trying to add or edit pages and posts if the server time is not correct, even if the date is correct.I could view the website and access the dashboard functions without issue. Older WordPress installations that have been upgraded to 6.0.x do not have this issue. Also, new installs of WordPress 5.5 did not have this issue (presumably other 5.x installs).
I have several older WordPress 6.0.1 sites on the same server that were working without issue. This took a lot of troubleshooting to seemingly randomly stumble upon that the server time was *4 hours behind. The date was correct. Only NEW installs were affected. I could edit pages and posts on older WordPress installs that had been upgraded to 6.0.1 without any issues.
If this could be added to a troubleshooting tip or, more preferably, corrected in the code, it could probably save even less tech savvy individuals than myself from giving up self-hosting WordPress if their server for some reason finds itself a little off the correct time. I’m sure it’s a rare occurrence but just another variable to remove from the many possible problematic variables when self-hosting. Sorry if this was already posted but I didn’t find it.
Thank you for all your hard work,
Bobby Keefe
