Incorrect search results if a space is used in the search

Hi there
When using the plugin on our site:
https://accountancylearning.co.uk/find-my-nearest-cbt-centre/If I search with the postcode M231LQ the nearest centres to this location in Manchester are located. But if I search with the space, M23 1LQ, the nearest centre located is over 100 miles away, in Norwich!
Does anyone know why this might be happening and ideally how to fix it?
