I may be doing something wrong here, but I can’t seem to get these thumbs up/down buttons to accurately reflect the votes.

The thumbs “down” is assigned -1, and thumbs “up” is +1, as is the default. But if a person clicks thumbs “down”, then the image on/off doesn’t change at all. If they click thumbs “up”, then the “down” image turns on.

So I tried doing “down” as +1, and “up” as +2, and that fixed the “down” button. But then BOTH thumbs “up” and “down” are highlighted when I press thumbs “up”.

So, the plugin seems to turn on the 1st image (thumbs down) when rating is >= 1. And it turns on the 2nd image (thumbs up) when rating is >= 2. That works well with a star rating system, but not with thumbs up/down. Is there a way to fix this so image 1 is turned on with -1, and image 2 is turned on with +1?

    Thanks for your help!

Unfortunately, cannot because the thumbs up/down is a “hack” to support the thumbs up and down as requested by users. The plugin itself is meant to be a star rating system.

Do you know of any plugins that do support this feature?

Or at least point me to the function within your code so I can change the qualifiers for thumbs up/down?
