    Hi @downlo,

Thanks for getting in touch. So we can determine more on this and ensure Site Kit works as expected please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. Has this just started to occur recently, with the error appearing after a plugin update or any other changes to your site, such as connecting the Analytics module?
    3. When checking the Site Kit dashboard from a Chrome browser incognito window do you see any browser console errors on the same screen where this notice appears? If so please share any such errors.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

    This happened from first install

Thanks for the update @downlo. In that case, please follow the steps below, which can help rule out third party plugin conflicts. I noticed you have a couple of plugins installed which could impact Site Kit with particular configurations:

    1. Login to your site from a Chrome browser incognito window
    2. Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
    3. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    4. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google”
    5. Attempt to view your Site Kit dashboard once more

If the same occurs let me know and we can perform some addition checks.

Thanks for checking @downlo. If you’re encounter the same error, as initially described (Incorrect locale information provided), can you temporarily switch your language within your WordPress settings to another variation of English (Settings > General > Site Language), just temporarily, before checking your Site Kit dashboard once more?

From inspecting your site I also noticed a mixed content console error. While this may not be contributing to the error, you can resolve this and ensure web development best practices by ensuring all resources, in this case an image, are requested using https. There are plugins that you can use for this. You can find them by performing a search for “Mixed content fixer”.

Let me know how you get on with changing your language to English UK or another variation of English. After doing so please share whether you encounter the same error. If so I’ll heck this with the team.

Thanks for checking. As you’ve already performed a check using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin from a Chrome browser incognito window, and changed your language settings I’ll check your case with the team and enquire about some other possible troubleshooting suggestions. This may include uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, checking from another site on the same hosting platform or performing a plugin reset.

Please allow me some time to check this. I’ll hopefully have an update for you at some stage today or tomorrow.

    Hi @downlo,

Apologies for the delay in responding. We discussed your case the other day and one suggestion is to check does the same occur when using different browsers. While doing so can you share what browsers you tested?

We also have a team member looking into log files on this. I’ll follow up with you here with any updates on this. In the meantime please do let me know if the same error occurs with the browsers, and what browsers you tested.

i already triedthis with firefox and brave browsers all have same problem

Appreciate you performing this check. Based on the same occurring I’ve created a GiTHub issue on the Site Kit plugin repository. You’ll find this below:
    https://github.com/google/site-kit-wp/issues/5691

While I’ll check this with the team again based on your update, I’ve added some of the troubleshooting you’ve already performed to this GitHub issue. What may be useful, if you wish to troubleshoot this further, is to check the following:

    1. Does the same occur if you uninstall and then reinstall the plugin?
    2. Does the same occur if you reset Site Kit and attempt set up once more (Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit)?

I’ll add your response to the above to the related GitHub issue. I also noticed a couple of Google related plugins, including Google Translate. While you’ve already performed a check using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin, to help rule out third party plugin conflicts, I will set up an environment similar to your own to try and recreate.

If you area able to perform the checks above let me know how you get on. I’ll keep you updated with further checks on this with the team.

Same issue i tried disabling plugins and still get the same issue

Thanks for checking this. I’ll add this to the related GitHub issue. We also discussed your case yesterday and another suggestion was to check for any browser console errors where you see this error. Can you please share these, as the issue may be number formatting related, with one of the components used in Site Kit. If you do see errors these may reference a numberFormat error: Intl.NumberFormat error.

Alternatively if you you can a screen recording showing your browser console errors where this appears, using a service such as RecordIt or Loom.

To share the above privately feel free to use the same form previously used.

    Hi @downlo,

Just following up with you to check whether you’d had an opportunity to share a screen recording of what you’re experience? Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Once we have this information I can discuss this with the team once more.

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
