• Hi

i have set resolution as follows:

    1680, 1440, 1280, 1024, 900, 800, 768, 667, 568, 480, 375

However, 4 of the image resolution i.e. 1024, 568, 667, 768 & 900 are generating a blue image background for one of my image backgrounds rather than black.

I have uploaded the file resolutions with incorrect blue background color on dropbox at https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B8v2FiuMyMXIejBKVVdIb0NzMFE&usp=sharing

Note I have also included the original file i.e. logoblack-original, and 2 other resolutions with black background i.e. 1280, 480

Can you kindly check why a blue background is generated instead of black for the 4 affected resolutions.

I have cleared cache several times but same issue.

    Thank you.

    Hello, my friend,

I see what you are saying, indeed. Some kind of GIF peculiarity there! I will check it out, but, in the meantime, if this image has no transparency, then I would recommend that you transformed it to JPEG for better results overall!

Also, I do not think you need so many breakpoints. I believe you can make do with just 3-5 of them. There is no problem in having many breakpoints. You just don’t have to pollute your cache with too many files.

    Cheers,
    Takis

(Btw, this image indeed produces the same error at least in 1024px when I test it, too! See https://aidev.onpressidium.com/sample-page/.)

    Thanks for the update.

Yes, indeed. It produces error on 1024px.

I am going to change it into jpg, and test it. will let you know.

Keep me posted of any updates to why this is happening. might be affecting other gifs.

I will definitely check with other GIFs, too! But I suspect there is nothing much I can do, because the image handling is actually done internally by the PHP GD Image library.

Thank you very much for pointing out the problem, though!

    Cheers,
    Takis

Thanks Takis. I changed it to jpg, and it works fine now – no blue background, just black. Thanks for your suggestion; though a very strange error. Peace to you.
