incorrect display of homepage

In my store I have a static home page set up, where I display a slideshow, the most popular and best-selling products. However, lately it often happens that typing the main address of my store brings up search results: a sidebar with categories and a list of matching products. Only clearing the cache restores the display of the correct home page.
