I’m just testing your plugin on a staging site. I activated the customer consent in checkout. Then I placed two order. One with checkbox ticked, one without.

Now if I go to look at the orders I see that on both order below the shipping address it says:

Would you like to be invited to review your order? Check here to receive a message from CusRev (an independent reviews service) with a review form.:Nein

I know I can also see on the total order overview page for each order whether consent has been given or not, but unfortunately the above message also appears in the order confirmation email sent to the customer. Even if a customer agreed to a review being sent, it say he/she apparently not gave consent “Nein”. (that’s German for no ?? )

I use WPML, but I haven’t done any translation yet, because I’m only testing.

Can you tell me why the status of consent always says no? Is there a way to optionally remove this additional information from the customer order email?

Much appreciate it, if you could help me.

@krizb28 our plugin does not add the consent information to the order confirmation emails. It is done by WooCommerce automatically when you are using their new Block-Based Checkout – see https://woocommerce.com/document/using-the-new-block-based-checkout/. Unfortunately, WooCommerce Block-Based Checkout currently doesn’t offer a way to add a checkbox only to the checkout page but not to the order email.

An easy way to remove the consent information from the order confirmation emails is to replace the Block-Based Checkout with [woocommerce_checkout] shortcode on your checkout page (the previous checkout implementation from WooCommerce).

If WooCommerce introduces a filter or a hook that 3rd party developers like us can use to control which fields from the Block-Based checkout page are added to the order confirmation emails, we will use it to create a setting in our plugin to display or hide consent information from the order confirmation emails. Until WooCommerce does it, our plugin cannot control what goes in the order confirmation emails.

@adorablepaws it is forbidden by the rules of this forum to offer access to websites. Your user and my user can be banned by the forum moderators because of this. I do not need access to your website. I need a link to a public product page that we can use to test the checkout and see the issue with a positive response to a consent question recorded as “No”.

    Dear @pistachio6321,

Our website https://sublimiraj.me is in Croatian, and we are using the Loco Translate plugin. In the settings for Customer Consent Text, we have added the text in Croatian: “Pristajem da mi po?aljete podsjetnik na recenzije radi ostvarivanja popusta.” However, the response to this question in the email is always negative, displaying “Ne” (No) in Croatian. This is also reflected in the order details.

@pistachio6321 I didn’t know it was forbidden to offer access. I didn’t mean to cause you any trouble. Was just trying to help you. Sorry! Like I said, I cannot link to a product, because it’s a test site. Maybe someone else can.

But you are wrong saying the message in the order email is ONLY added, when using the Woo block based checkout. I don’t use the block based checkout and the message is still added to the order email. Plus I do have checkboxes in my checkout (some I created myself, some coming from third party plugins) that DO NOT leave an extra message in the order email. So it is surely coming from your plugin somehow.

@pistachio6321 Thank you for your answer. I do not use the block-based check out, I use [woocommerce_checkout]. I have never used that. So as mentioned in the reply above me, it definitely is added by your plugin. Also, the answer to the to consent question is still always No, even when yes. This is with the latest version 5.50.0.

I have the same issue. Updated Woocommerce and Cusrev today, all newest versions, now in checkout and order emails I get the “additional information” with consent set to “no” like everyone else. It’s messing up my emails too. I use Woodmart theme and WPML. Maybe downgrading Cusrev / Woocomerce could fix it, has anyone tried?

    Thanks for providing additional information.

Could you install the latest version 5.50.1 and check if the consent checkbox is working correctly with the classic WooCommerce checkout [woocommerce_checkout]?

The update resolved the issue for me. Thank you.

Yes, I can also confirm that the message is gone in the customer order email. The consent status is now not documented on the order details page anymore (admin area), but only on the order overview page, but that doesn’t matter to me personal.

The update resolved the issue for me too. Thank you.

    Good morning,
I also have the same problem, Woocommerce is up to date as well as CusRev version 5.50.1. However, my customers always receive the “No” notification whatever their choice.
    I don’t use shortcodes.

@sibmol could you please share a system report for your site (WooCommerce -> Status) and a link to a page where we can see this issue?

We haven’t heard from you for more than two weeks. For this reason, I’ll assume that either you are not interested in this question/problem anymore or it has been resolved. If you still require any help, please start a new forum topic

@bagel1317 I already confirmed two weeks ago that my problem is resolved. Thank you.
