I have wholesale lots of some items so I was testing the Bundle Rates plugin and discovered that one of my other options – USPS Priority Mail – is looking off.

All of these items are 1 lb and shipping in the same size package. I add one to the cart and get back $6.02, add a second item get back $8.98, add a 3rd item and get back a whopping $32.87.

Add a 4th item and the $$ remain unchanged. What is happening here – each 1 lb incremental increase in weight should have a modest increase in but not a huge jump and go unchanged with the next increase.

I test this at USPS.com and the result is “normal” with a small increase from 2 lbs to 3 lbs. The test is from Ohio to Seattle WA.

I did check the product weights to ensure I hadn’t made an error and all check in a 1 lb. each with same package size.

I also have a problem. I checked the debug logs when sending out multiple qtys of an item 1″ cubed item at .25 oz. Your system sends out the stats of 1 item then gets a package amount from USPS. Evidently your system takes the qty ordered and multiplies it against the package amounts returned by USPS. This process simply will not work, since we fit multiple items inside 1 package.

How are others using your system to get appropriate shipping amounts?

    Hi Mreffin,

The overall scenario of our business is as follows :

    1. If client is a small business owner with 1 item and he needs only real time features, then he can opt for the basic version of the plugin in wordpress.
    2. If client has more products,
    a) he needs custom rates,
    b) he needs box packing
    c) or he needs different services for different shipping classes,
    d) wants to print labels for multiple products and get tracking information, etc
then he has to purchase our premium plugin.

Let us know if you have any query.

I have 6 products all the same weight and at times can be packaged together when purchased. I need to be able to calculate the correct shipping when multiple items are purchased. Each product weighs 13 oz and I have all the different boxes sizes that are used to package the items along with weights. I just need to find out how to input it.

    Hi,

We need some piece of information so that we can analyse your issue in a better way.

Could you please tell us which plugin you are referring here?

There is an option called “Pack into boxes with weight and dimensions” for field “Parcel Packing. In this option All the cart items are packed into custom boxes defined in Box Dimensions settings. The best fit box is auto chosen from the defined boxes. This is the recommended option. You can read through setting up box dimensions to understand more in detail.

Let us know, if you need some help

After searching for a plug in that would work with woocommerce and calculate USPS international postage I thought I was finally in luck. However, it is not giving the correct postage. I am shipping using the USPS Priority Flat Rate small box. The actual cost to send to Canada is something like 24.95 but the plug in raises it up to about 38.00. Same issue for other destinations like the UK which should be 33.95 but is being shown as 48.00.

I have selected only Priority Mail and Priority International as the services to get prices for. I didn’t see a selection for Priority Mail Rate Rate Boxes.

    Any ideas?

    Hi charleyntexas,
The Basic USPS plugin takes the product as a package. You are getting the rates for the package. Please select package option in USPS rate calculator to see the difference.

However, there is an option to overcome this. You can use box packing option in Premium version of the plugin to get the desired rates.
