Incorrect authentication data

I am trying to configure postman to send email through a remote server with a custom domain. I have added an SPF record to the DNS, gone through the wizard, and checked and rechecked the login info for the correct username and password and it all checks out.
The connectivity test shows that all ports are open, and 587 supports login and plain authentication. I have tried both with the same result. I have also tried the other ports to no avail as well.
If you have any other ideas besides the obvious ‘you have the wrong password’ (I can use the same email and password to log in to the email account so I’m sure it’s not wrong), I would greatly appreciate the help.
