Incorporation 2 themes

    I’m new to WP.
    I have been advised to look at wordpress as a solution for creating a music voting platform I want to build similar to the following: indabamusic.com

    From the themes I’ve already reviewed I tend to prefer the designs of the sleeker, more simple themes, but want the functionality of a more complex voting/social networking theme.
    How do I go about incorporating the design aspects of one theme (layout, color scheme, etc), and the functionality/modules of another?
