Incorporate File Away in site search?

  • Hi Thom,

    Getting down to the home stretch on this site. Thank you for the great plug in that has made this site possible!

    I have been unable to find information regarding searching FileAway data using the regular site search. Is it possible to include Fileaway data in a site wide search? I’m trying to help users not have to navigate to a lengthy subject list if they know the term they want to search.

    File away has it’s own search at the top of each page and so I added instructions on the site to help users understand there are two methods of searching. You can see the search field for the site and the instructions in the footer of each page. https://nimj.org The topic and advocacy pages have a search at the top of the page so that would let the user search the file away data. I’ll learn as time goes on if that is presenting issues with UX.

    It’s not ideal, but I’m hoping users have an idea of a topic area they would start with for searching.
