Inconsistent EOT Behavior

  • My client reports some new memberships do not auto-generate an EOT, yet others do:

    • If the person signs up through Paypal with an “instant” payment, they are listed as recurring, and have an EOT date (see Johnson, Gill & Lagodich).
    • If they sign up through Paypal “website payments pro”, neither of those things happens (see Clough, Rienke).

      Their primary concern is who gets notifications of renewal and who does not. We transitioned to Payments Pro with auto-renewal in the past 12 months. My understanding is S2Member doesn’t send notifications of renewal in either situation.

      I’m baffled and don’t know how to advise the client.
