    I have installed the plugin and I have it operational on my website.

    For now I have a problem and that is that some texts are not translated (into Czech). On my site I have Loco Translate installed and I can check that certain strings are translated but then the frontend does not show translated.

  • Sunshine relies on community help for translations. You can see all translations here: https://www.transifex.com/wp-translations/sunshine-photo-cart/

    The Czech translation is only about 20% complete at this point. You are welcome to contribute and I offer a free Pro subscription to anyone that maintains a translation.

    I started the translation locally but the problem is that some strings do not use translation even when I translate them. For example I am unable to translate “We have received your order and payment” and many other strings no matter what I try.

    That is defined in the Sunshine Orders > Order Statuses > New. Order Statuses can be customized so that language is inserted into the database at the time of installation.

    Ohh ok somehow I missed that tab. That works, thanks! I will try to translate at least the most important / basic things that clients could see / use into Czech language. I just got stuck with this but now that it’s solved, I’ll see how it goes / what else needs to be translated (I have the basic UI / cart / checkout process and emails almost done I think). The default included Czech translation was only like 2-3% complete so if you are now at 20%, you might be ahead of me – is the 20% translation available somewhere?

    Also not sure if this is a bug or feature but the “Image / Name / Quantity / Item Price / Cost” etc. in emails is in English when the wordpress admin user profile is set to English, even if the language of the user profile you are sending the email to is set to a different language.
    If I want the user to receive an email in Czech, I have to set my admin user profile to Czech.
    I would like to use English with my admin profile but send emails in Czech or whatever language the user is set to – this is currently not possible.
    Edit: I forgot to add – site default language is Czech. When admin user language is se to Czech, everything gets sent in Czech. If the admin user language is English (with site default language still set to Czech), emails are part Czech and part English – mixed languages in one email.

    Currently, all translations are based on the site settings, not individual users. What you are asking for is not possible in Sunshine. If not all the strings are translated into Czech (which at this point Czech is not fully translated), it will fall back to the default English version.

    Translations based on the site settings would be ok too but some strings are based on the admin user language settings instead.
    Site language Czech and admin language Czech = emails completely in Czech.
    Site language Czech and admin language English = parts of the emails are in Czech and some strings are in English.

    I will have to look into this further as I honestly have never tested this kind of set up.
