Incomplete Posts – Please help!

  • This is the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen! For a few days I’m been able to post just fine. Just made a post in fact. I wrote another post up and have attempted to post it about 30 times. I have deleted in restarted from scratch several times.

    Every time I hit publish or save either my entire post disappears or half of it, or a third of it. There is no code in the post, just bolded words!

    I am so frustrated! Anyone ever heard of this?

  • It may be code errors like an unclosed div tag. Check your site with a validator:

    https://validator.w3.org/

    Select the Show Source option in the validator and then click Revalidate. Now, clicking on the line numbers in the errors will take you to the corresponding line in your code.

    Another thing to try is to temporarily disable your plugins and see if the problem goes away.

    This is actually happing in the admin, not on the site. I can see the post disappear after I hit Publish, half of it is gone out of the text box.

    So i waited, and now it worked! Did nothing differently… weird!
