I don’t have that particular theme so I’m not able to test. In the mean time, you can disable the TinyMCE editor by editing the plugin code (if that is something you are comfortable with). You can delete this line from the accordion-shortcodes.php file.

Please let me know when you hear back from Avada support.

    Phil,

Thanks for getting back to me on this.

I don’t want to disable tinymce, I want your plugin’s changes to merge with the existing instance of tinymce.

Right now, there seems to be some problem with the:
// Add buttons to MCE editor
    code.

Instead of adding buttons, it trashes TinyMCE (in my installation).

I would be happy to provide a test site that demonstrates the problem if that would be helpful.

Avada has not responded as of yet.

    Thanks,

    Steve

I would need a copy of the theme in order to do my own testing. Would it be possible to get a copy?

Since it’s a paid theme, I would need to send it privately. Please email me at [email protected] with an address to which I could send a link to the zip file.

Same here with Avada. I get the buttons in the UI and the code renders fine, including the JaaScript, but the function doesn’t activate. This shortcode is exactly what I need. I hope a solution can be found. Thanks

I sent the author a test copy of Avada and he was not able to duplicate the problem I had which was a complete lack of buttons in the visual editor.

I filed a report with Avada including site login but they never answered.

    Hey, it works!

I have upgraded to Avada 3.9.2 and the accordion now shows up in the editor as it’s supposed to and clicking on the buttons works.

This site was recently completely brought up to date and the problem went away!

Try upgrading and let’s report back to the Accordion author ASAP.

He was super nice and got right back to me even though Avada never has.

I’m now on Avada 3.9.2, WordPress 4.4.1, and
    Accordion Shortcodes Version 2.2.6

    And it’s working!

My site is fully updated. The plugin is installed, shortcodes configured correctly (I believe), and the shortcode is rendering. However, the Accordion behavior is not happening.

I figured out what my problem was. I was interspersing other tags within the shortcode scope. Apparently the shortcode renders a direct parent-child relationship that is necessary for the code to work. Nothing to do with Avada.

Great to hear it! It’s now working for me too, but it’s only related to the Avada Update to 3.9.2.
