• I just tried upgrading from 2.7 to 2.8 via the upgrade button in teh admin panel and i got this error:

    Incompatible archive: PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

    Installation Failed

    i’ve updated 6 of my other blogs with no problems, including 1 other with the same theme and plug-ins..

    any ideas??

  • The cause is the drive space available not being enough. I found this one file had grown so much it ate up all the available space. After I deleted that file the problem went away.

    Had the same problem, was using 472mb out of allotted 500mb’s. Changed the server to 1000mb and error stopped and plugin’s now upgrade with no problems. Needed more server space.

    Yes, i reached my webhosting disk quota and when removed some files it was OK.

    I had the same problem from trying to install it from the online theme. I had plenty of disk space 150GB using only 4.5MB. So I download the theme to my computer and then uploaded it via the dashboard and it worked fine. Also I had another glitch just before on a Godaddy platform with fopen() and fclose() errors that was fixed by adding
    In your php.ini file, try enabling Fopen. Find the respective line and set it to be “on”:
    allow_url_fopen = On
    And add this line below it:
    allow_url_include = 1

    Now everything is working GREAT!!!!

    well i got plenty of space and i get this error message when i upload a plugin
