Incompatibility with WP-Staging plugin

    HI there!

    Thank you for your great work. I’m testing your plugin and it’s great and works well accordingly to my needs.
    Just to say that there is an incompatibilty with WP STAGING – Backup Duplicator & Migration

    If activated, you can’t save any option in Admin and Site Enhancements.
    If it can help for next release.

    @samsls I was able to replicate the issue but did not see any PHP or JS errors being logged. My guess is this has to do with their Optimiizer mu-plugin:

    “The Optimizer is a mu-plugin that disables all other plugins during staging and backup operations. This lowers memory consumption and speeds up processing. It should always be enabled!”

    Please try reporting this on their support forum, mentioning that when WP Staging is active, it disables saving changes in Admin and Site Enhancements, which should never happen in the first place. i.e. WP Staging should not be interfering with the functioning of other plugins unless they’re doing staging, backup, cloning or migration operation.

    Indeed, the optimizer plugin nor the wp staging core plugin itself should not interfere with any other plugin.

    @samsls @renehermi per Rene’s latest reply there, I’ll be making changes in ASE’s next release to better handle similar issue in the future, with any other plugins. Thanks for reporting and for working together to solve this!
