• Whenever I enable the W3 Total Cache plugin, I am unable to use this plugin. When I try to do a dry run, it comes back with all the fields reset and it hasn’t found any cells to update.

Is there any way to get these 2 to work together, or do I need to disable the caching plugin every time I want to run a search/replace?

    Thanks!

  • Sounds like a conflict. I’ll look into this further and get back to you.

    Thanks for reporting the issue!

Still not working with W3 Total Cache. I guess you weren’t able to resolve the problem.

    Hi Peter,

I wasn’t even able to replicate the issue with a fresh install of WordPress and latest versions of W3 Total Cache and Better Search Replace, with caching turned on with all the default settings.

So it seems to me that it could be a specific configuration issue. Can you confirm if the issue occurs on stock settings?

Oddly enough, when I disabled the W3 Total Cache plugin today, your plugin didn’t work either. So I suspect there must be some other conflict going on.

I didn’t have time to look into this further today, so I just quickly used the other Search and Replace plugin on the repository.

When I have a bit more time, I’ll see if I can get you more details on why your plugin doesn’t work on this site. It’s weird, because last time this happened, I disabled W3 and then your plugin worked fine. Could be a double plugin jeopardy or something.

I believe that I have all the stock settings set for W3.

    Thanks for responding so quickly.

Thanks for the update. It does almost sound like a double conflict – what a pain. Please do send over more details when you have a chance.

    Thank you.
