  • I’m assuming you are referring to the frontend editor of Visual Composer? I have a site running with Cache Enabler and I can confirm that the yellow, green, and blue “editing” boxes do appear on a “cached” page.

Is it possible it is another plugin conflict? Are you running any other caching plugins?

As a former user of VC, I can only say this. Almost anything is incompatible with VC, meaning that it’s probably the other way round. VC is a nightmare to combine with almost any other plugin out there. Believe me, I’ve torn more than hair out trying to work it but eventually, I switched to a different builder and I never looked back. Currently I use Genesis (hand coded stuff) and Avada (drag and drop builder) on all sites that I manage. Might not be the solution to your problem but it may help others to actually stay away from VC.

Thanks for your reply, NC. I started creating my own post templates and functions, because of this exact reason and am going to switch away from Visual Composer as soon as possible.

@brian, No I’m actually referring to a grid-post element on the front end (not in editing mode). It works fine for a while, but after about 10 hours they stop showing up, probably due to a nonce expiration.

Thanks for chiming in NC, I do have to agree with you, I tend to stay away from visual composers if I can. They seem to always cause more trouble than they fix.

Sounds like you might be transitioning away from VC plokkum? So hopefully the above won’t be an issue anymore.

    Hi Brian,

thanks and yes, I would have signed that statement until I tried this one today after someone mentioned it on a forum:

    https://elementor.com

It’s a new open source project that deserves a second look. I tried it today and it actually does what it says on the tin and on top of that:

    It works with ANY theme.

    Quite remarkable!

Thanks for the heads up. I will have to give that a try.
