• Hi Samuel,

I posted this on the github page, but not sure if you read the issues page?

    I loved the bbP-Messages plug-in.

But we just discovered that when we have both bbP-Messages activated, in addition to the EasyDigitalDownloads (EDD) plug-ins (which are a necessity on our site), then EDD starts to produce file not found errors, when users are presented with a secured download link.

I’m not sure what the incompatibility could be. They seem completely unrelated.

Any chance you could possibly look into a resolution and maybe create an update that fixed the incompatibility with EDD?

    Darren

Here’s an example of the 404 errors that people see, when trying to download files that are controlled by Easy Digital Download — but only when bb Messages is active:

When I disable bb Messages, then these 404 errors stop.

I’m not sure what bb Messages and EDD are both doing, to cause this conflict. Perhaps they are writing files to the same directory name or something, I really have no idea.

    Hey Darren,

I am very sorry for not being able to join you on Github issues due to workloads.

I remember I tried to reproduce the same issue as yours, which I did at this moment, but the download is being processed with no issues. Can you help me reproduce this?

It would be helpful to continue over email (samelh.com/contact), so you can share with me some debug information and also follow some instructions to debug properly.

    Thanks,
    Samuel

    Hi Samuel,

I sent you a message on your form a couple weeks ago. I’m sure you are busy though.

    Hi Samuel,

Do you have any time coming up to work on this issue?
