Incompatibility to Borlabs Cookie 3.x

    Hi Smash Balloon Team,

    on your page https://smashballoon.com/doc/custom-facebook-feed-gdpr-compliance/?facebook you write that your plugin supports Borlabs Cookie. That was true for the outdated version 2 of Borlabs Cookie that isn’t downloadable anymore. The current version 3.x of Borlabs Cookie isn’t supported by your plugin. Borlabs premium support just did confirm that and asked us to tell you about it, so here we do.

    Not only your plugin isn’t longer compatible in the sense of its integration with Borlabs Cookie. But there additionally is a browser console error on frontend pages that have your plugin and Borlabs Cookie 3.x installed and your plugin’s GDPR setting set to “yes” (not “no” and not “automatic”):

    Uncaught TypeError: window.BorlabsCookie.checkCookieConsent is not a function

    We use your plugin in several websites and also licensed a premium version of it for one of these installations. Since your integration with Borlabs Cookie was the key reason for us to decide us for your plugin we kindly ask if and when you will fix these problems?

    4 month later the problem is still showing up on my site.
    We have installed the current version (6.4.3) of Smash Balloon
    If there is a solution or workaround, could you please make them public?

    Hey @derbronko!

    Apologies for the delay here. We have been able to create an update for our Instagram Feed plugin which is compatible with Borlabs 3.0. Our other developers are now working on setting this up for the Custom Facebook Feed Pro and Free plugins. You should see this implemented in the next coming update, as soon as we have implemented and tested the solution. Thank you for your patience!
