Incompatibility between SendCloud and Paypal
-
Hello,
I am a convinced SendCloud user and I offer Paypal on my merchant site in order to meet customer demand for this payment method which protects buyers. Paypal is also supposed to protect merchants, but about a year ago, I was the victim of fraud related to the combination of Paypal payment and the relay point proposal via SendCloud.
Today, after a year without offering relay points to my customers (this weighs heavily on me) I have just redone the test and the flaw is still present. Instead of replacing the delivery address with the relay point address, SendCloud adds the relay point address as a third address.
Of course, Sendcloud retrieves the relay point address in the back office and this enables the label to be generated for the relay point.
But beware, the address sent to Paypal is not that of the relay point but the delivery address which instead of being overwritten by that of the relay point, persists in the form of an address identical to the address of billing. You will clearly see two pieces of information on this PayPal capture: billing address as the address instead of the post office, and the explicit mention of Paypal inviting you to ship to this address (otherwise you will lose the protection of merchants).
In conclusion, the situation has not changed: if I offer relay points via SendCloud and Paypal payment at the same time, the address of the relay point is not communicated to Paypal and I lose the protection of the merchants, which is inconceivable considering the average value of my products (300 euros). Hoping to have been clear enough and hoping that this time your developers react.
Best Regards
