Incoming Links

  • I am having issues with my incoming links on the main wp-admin page. It shows that I only have 2 incoming links from other blogs when I know that this is not the case.

    At first I thought it may just be a technorati problem, but I really think that I am having this problem on google as well, because when I use their “link:” feature, very few links show up.

    Is there something I’m missing code-wise that would fix this? Or is it a bigger problem, like a problem with my provider?

  • Googlebot and Technoratibot may not have indexed those sites, yet.

    That’s what I thought too, but I also have another website that has been around for far less than the site in question, and all of its links show up as expected.

    I’ve had some of these links for 6 months – I would assume that it wouldn’t take that long.

    For this other working site, I am using a different host – I am using Yahoo for holdemauthority, the site that is not working.

    Well, I’m experiencing the same thing and I’m with TextDrive, so it may not be the host. Then again, perhaps I should give Dean a call. :o) In all seriousness, though, it doesn’t really matter. As long as people are actually coming to your site, then all is well. Besides, there won’t be that many folks who find you on Technorati, unless you’re in the top 10,000 or so.
