Inclusive tax not passing to Stripe

    Hi.

    I have setup the gateway with Webtoffee app installed on Stripe and transactions are being recorded in Stripe but without tax. I am using Stripe Checkout option so all transactions are done off-site on stripe. I am using Stripe Checkout option so all transactions are done off-site on stripe. I have “Send line items to stripe” enabled. Also everything is in test mode.

    If I set WooC tax to be exclusive it passes the tax to Stripe as a product and is calculated in the transaction and shows on the receipt but I have to set tax as inclusive for my location and when I look at the API in Stripe it is zero for inclusive tax on the checkout script recorded.

    The WooC site page shows the tax and the order completed email from WooC shows the tax but no tax in Stripe transactions or in the Stripe receipt.

    How can I get get the gateway to pass the tax to Stripe?

    When WooCommerce tax is set to inclusive, it seems that the tax component is not being properly passed to Stripe. Here’s what you can do to resolve the issue:
    1. Verify WooCommerce Tax Settings:
    Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Tax and confirm:
    ?“Prices entered with tax” is set to “Yes, I will enter prices inclusive of tax.”
    ?Tax rates are correctly configured under Standard Rates or the applicable tax class.

    1. Ensure “Send Line Items to Stripe” is Enabled:
      ? Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe and confirm that “Send Line Items to Stripe” is enabled.
    2. Enable Debug Logging:
      ? Turn on debug logging in WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe and process a test transaction.
      ? Review the logs to check how the tax is being passed to Stripe.
    3. Consider Enabling Stripe Tax:
      ? If taxes still don’t appear on Stripe, enable Stripe Tax in your Stripe Dashboard (Settings > Tax > Stripe Tax). This ensures Stripe calculates and displays taxes automatically based on customer location.
    4. Test in Live Mode:
      ? After confirming settings in test mode, switch to live mode and process a low-value order to verify.
