Including Portolio Items in Search

    I love the plugin. I converted 100 posts on my site to porfolio items. HOWEVER. The custom fields within my portfolio items are no longer searchable. I use Relevanssi as my search tool, because it can search for terms inside of custom post types and custom fields. For whatever reason, though, the portfolio custom post type does not show up as such. This holds true for other plugins, such as “Custom Post Type UI.” I do not know enough about coding custom post types to make a clear suggestion, but it seems that some sort of handle is missing, so that this post type is not fully recognized within the larger framework.

    I am currently looking for a search plugin that might categorize these along with everything else on my site.

    The STANDARD WP search DOES work, but it will not access custom fields.

    My bad. I was failing to interpret the slug name correctly. It does show up for Relevanssi.
